"Donington’s plans look promising and the early signs are quite encouraging - it intends to keep much of the circuits’ best features while modernising it. But these plans are a long way from reality. And Ecclestone has threatened that if Donington is not ready to hold the 2010 British Grand Prix he will not allow Silverstone to take over, even as a one-off." - Donington reveals redevelopment plan - autosport.com
"The realignment of the straight means that the current Esses will be replaced by a slight left-hand kink, with the Melbourne Hairpin instead becoming the circuit's first corner."The track will also be extended, with a new infield loop constructed. Rather than taking the current left-hand hairpin at the end of the Melbourne Loop, the revised circuit will continue straight on into a sweeping downhill left-hand bend and then a new hairpin, before climbing back towards the current pits straight."

"The key question is this: will Bernie E have the nerve to cancel the British Grand Prix in 2010 even if Lewis is the reigning world champion or even a recent past champ? I doubt he would do that. It would be a massive PR disaster for Formula One in Britain, it would irritate many of the teams who are based in England and Lewis himself would be justifiably annoyed that he would not be able to drive on home soil. " - Donington COO Gill steps down - autosport.com
